I don't know what I was thinking when I bought Milk Makeup's Eye Vinyl in Light Rail during the VIB sale at Sephora. I don't know what possibly possessed me to think that I needed to wear an eye vinyl. At my age, is that something I really need? In the dark on lid vinyls? Milk doesn't make the only one. I've purchased this one from NYX, too, so I'm clearly searching for this for some reason.
So what is it? Essentially, it's a lip gloss for the eyelid; glossy, shiny and ultra-dewy, a lid vinyl is an editorial look that a focus group told someone we needed in real life.
Light Rail, the Milk Makeup shade I selected is basically a clear with a iridescent lilac. It applies on the lid with a regular sponge applicator. You swipe the gloss on the lids with the applicator or finger and you're done. The goal is messy lids that will most likely require touch-ups with q-tips throughout the night. You can also apply it over a shadow color to bring it to life.
They say it's not sticky, but it's not NOT sticky. Kind of how a MAC Lipglass isn't sticky, but IS? My hair didn't get stuck in it, but it definitely gathers in the lid lines.
|Derp! I'm wearing Light Rail over a peachy LORAC shade from a million years ago.|
I think this is one of those things that I'm just too grown to embrace, an idea that makes me proud and sad at the same time. If you've tried these, what did you think? I want to love it, but I can't justify the $20.00 Grab it from Sephora or Milk if you're curious. Let me know what you think.
