Lifting with Ultrasound : Mira-Skin At-Home Facial Device

Sent for review.

We all know about Ultherapy, right? The slightly painful ultrasound treatment you get in a Doctor's office for thousands of dollars. It tightens skin, specifically around the jawline and neck and has been compared to a non-surgical facelift. It takes a few months to see the difference, as collagen isn't remodeled in one day. All signs point to the results being fantastic. It's the leading anti-aging treatment on the market today that isn't an injectible.

You can now get the at-home version of an Ultrasound treatment for way less than one ultherapy treatment from Mira-Skin. It's not the same as what you'd get in the doctor's office by any standard, but there's no discounting this results this user is seeing. I've been using this for a few months and my skin has changed noticeably. It's more firm for one thing. Fine lines around my mouth and cheeks have dissipated. I still have the periorbital wrinkles that will not budge, but the rest of my face and neck look different. Fresher. Younger. And more than one person has asked me to give up my skincare secrets.

What is ultrasound technology for the skin and how does it work? Ultrasound waves penetrate the skin, gently exfoliating and cleansing the skin, while allowing your skincare products to penetrate the epidermis much more deeply than normal. The ultrasound also triggers the production of elastin and collagen, which help repair skin damage and give the skin are fresher, younger appearance over time.

The Mira-Skin unit itself is really easy to use. In fact, it's elegant in it's simplicity. You charge it for about four hours using a USB cable. Then you apply a small amount of their hyaluronic serum to the face. Next, you apply the conductivity gel to the face, turn on the unit and gently glide it over your face. You won't feel any electric tinglies or prickly sensations. But I do feel the warmth of the tool and the coolness of my skin clashing occasionally, in an odd and enjoyable minty way. (I swear it makes sense if you try it!) Afterwards, my skin doesn't really feel different. But it glows and is slightly tighter - the the kind of skin some sailor would joke about bouncing quarters off of. And that feeling carries well into the next day and beyond. I've been using the wand three times per week and would probably use it nightly, but I worry that overuse could lead to undesirable results, I actually look forward to my Mira-Skin nights.!

According to the company, for about thirty minutes after the treatment, your skin is more receptive to the skincare products you use. I like to apply a sheet mask to make the most of it. My results are pretty amazing. My neck looks younger. My jawline is much more firm and my cheeks are taut. And here's the interesting thing. I'm also losing weight (from Weight Watchers, not the device). Like a lot of weight. So far I'm down sixty pounds and I was worried about my skin sagging from a loss of "volume". But my skin is becoming even tighter, juicier and more bouncy. I honestly don't know if it's just genetics or some ultrasonic help. But based on my dry skin, weird hair texture and inability to tell left from right, I doubt it's the genetics.

Try this for yourself for $349. You'll get the Ultrasound wand, the hyaluronic acid gel and the connectivity gel. It's so simple, there is no discomfort and I'm seeing real results. Mira-Skin Ultasound is definitely becoming a staple in my skincare that is here to stay.
