Bare Escentuals announced that they are launching bareMinerals READY, a new line of cold-pressed eye shadows in 2.0 duos ($20) and 4.0 quads ($30). Crazy, right? Crazy like a fox!
According to Bare Escentuals, READY is an innovative new concept in mineral technology. Created through a cold-pressed method, we've combined our proprietary SeaNutritive Mineral Complex - composed of positively-charged sea minerals extracted from nutrient-rich algae and seaweed - with powerful antioxidants, cold-pressed borage oil, caffeine and cucumber. Our solid concentrate is clinically proven to deliver potent anti-aging benefits, including depuffing and antioxidant protection for a softer, smoother, revitalized eye area.
These shadows are still free of parabens, synthetic chemicals, binders or fillers.

ReplyDeletesuper excited to see these
ReplyDeleteomfg that's so exciting!!!!
ReplyDeletewhat do bare minerals shadow singles usually retail for?
ReplyDeleteHow can these be completely binder-free? What will hold the pressed cakes together and keep them from breaking? More importantly, without binders, they will not stick to the skin very well
ReplyDeleteGot me. It must be related to the cold-pressed way they are created,
ReplyDeleteperhaps? I haven't seen them yet in person, so I can't really answer
anything about how they wear.
They are usually $13 each, I think. I always buy them in kits, so I'm not 100%.
ReplyDeleteI've asked BE for clarification. I'll let you know when I hear back!
ReplyDeletecool, thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI spoke with BE directly and they say that because of the their own method of cold pressing shadow, you don't need traditional binders. I'm excited to see these and I am very curious about the anti-aging properties. I'm trying their new eye cream right now, which is amazing. They've got some nifty things up their sleeves! Now if they would only make a blush in Buxom Stay-There shadow form, I'd be a happy girl.
ReplyDeleteWell the eyeshadow singles in the pot don't contain binders. They work just a well.. That's like saying loose pigments aren't very great shadows. Plus, there's always the option of eyeshadow primers if you want more true color and vibrancy.
