Matte Sweet Apple Vitality Cheek Flush from it Cosmetics

As a long time peach fan, it's hard for me to move out of my comfort zone, into the hues closer to pink than peach. I'm trying, but we all know how hard it is to break out of a rut.

Since my hair changes from what seems like week to week, I get the chance to try different shades constantly. While I yearn for that perfect light pink that seems to be amazing on Julia Roberts, I find that I need a little more color to define my cheeks and give me a fresh pop of color.

Enter Matte Sweet Apple Vitality Cheek Flush from it Cosmetics. This shade looks a little darker in the pan than it actually appears, but be careful to only use a small amount! A little goes a long way. This powder has hydrating ingredients like Plum Oil, Cherry Oil, Pomegranate, Jojoba and Grapeseed, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe and Vitamins! It's got a lot going on for a long-wearing cheek flush.

I find that when paired with the usual -- primer, foundation and setting powder, this blush lasts a full work day which is pretty amazing, especially for me. None of this should surprise me- it's really more of a cheek stain in powder form!

I like to apply this with a fluffy, angled blush brush for the right touch of color. The combo together is currently $35 on QVC.  It Cosmetics has a beautiful brush that applies the pigment in a really natural, non-streaky, healthy-cheek-flush kind of way. Plus, I really like the weight and feel of this brush (truth be told, I'm still in love with their foundation brush from their recent QVC TSV!). If you are looking for a pretty spring color, one that works on almost all skin tones but is a little less expected than a light or uber-bright shade of pink, check out Sweet Apple!

  2. Thanks for the review, it looks great on you! It's a gorgeous healthy color. Your cheek stain observation is great- that really is telling! Have you ever tried Tarte's Amazonian Clay Blushes? I'm wondering if this might be comparable to those.
    Love the bangs, BTW...
