$250 Shopping Spree!

Question of the Week: You are awarded a $250 gift card to any beauty store you choose. What’s the store and what do you buy?  Honestly, it would depend on who gave it to me. How weird is that?

If Sephora said, "Here's $250, buy anything!" I'd dive into a Pat McGrath and Natasha Denona Palette. Or maybe just one Natasha? I have been lusting after that palette for more than a year. How amazing must eyeshadow be to sell for that much? Back in the days when I was a new blogger, there was a French brand that was new to me. All of the fancy bloggers raved about their Le Metier de Beaute eye shadow and how it was applied. I forget the premise, but it was about layering shades or something brilliant. Anyway, I actually got to work with the brand on some skincare and I . GOT. TO. TRY. A. SHADOW. PALETTE.

And it was dusty and boring.

So I don't know. How good can that shadow be to cost $239 a palette? However, if my Mom gave me a gift card to a beauty store, I would spend differently. I would go for basics with more sparkle and aim to get more than three items. Here's how my Mom-spend at Sephora would go down:

Stila: Written in the Stars Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Set, $25 (The shadows are awesome and way to pricey the regular way.)

Natasha DenonaChroma Crystal Top Coat in Peach, $28

Huda Beauty: Desert Dusk Shadow Palette, $65, #FauxFilter Foundation, $40,

Too Faced: Just Peachy Mattes Shadow Palette, $45, Glitter Glue, $20

Fenty: Alien Bae, $20 (good luck finding it, though!)

What would you get? Would it matter where it came from? Let's discuss below. In the meantime, check out the important beauty news you may have missed last week with the Lipstick League.
