One of the biggest palettes of the year is no doubt the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics matte shadow palette. Looking for inspiration on beautiful ways you can wear the palette? The Makeup Wars team has you covered!
One of the biggest trends I see continuing into next year is the rise of the Rust. Not just in a political way, I'm talking about the color. Reds are making a real comeback into shadow. Once upon a time, red shades were viewed as impossible to wear...not anymore.
Reds are refined, wearable and make eyes stand out. Strong neutrals are everything and the shade Extra Bitter is perfection.
Create a contoured eye using the lightest neutrals that will show up on your skin tone. Using a Beth Bender Beauty Stencil, create a strong liner using the Extra Bitter Color. Add lots of mascara and a neutral lip. I picked Whip for a bit of gloss and sparkle.
Pink hair, don't care.
True story, I do kind of care. Of course, the day after I chose to make my hair pink, I got an opportunity to meet with a security company about big business. It's always the way, right?
But back to the look. I chose to focus on the shades Instinct and Tempted to make the most of the blue eyes, without competing with the bright pink hair. I used a grayish-taupe shadow (Frisk, from this palette) on my brows to help balance out the difference between my hair color and overall look. On my lips, Pulse from NudeStix is a no-brainer. It's the perfect compliment to pale skin and pink hair.
