We haven't done a Top Five Friday in a long time, so today is the day! This is an easy Top Five Friday to fill. I've come across so many fab products that have truly impressed me, especially number five!

1. STROBE THE VOTE !?!

It's no secret that I'm no fan of the Allure Magazine Beauty Awards. I wrote this years ago and nothing has really changed. Ho hum. You aren't all that in love with Pantene. Sure, they make some great stuff. But every time?

But you'll want to vote in the TotalBeauty 2016 Awards. The industry is watching what we, the beauty mavens, want--and you've got opinions to share! I know you do, so get out there and vote for your favorite products. And you might just win $500 of glorious beauty loot. There are eight prizes in all!

Vote to show your favorite brand love. Vote to show what you want to see more of. Or just vote to start practicing for November (and yes, the primer category is a little wonky).

2. Stila Aqua Glow Foundation and Concealer gives your face such a pretty finish I might just prefer this over my favorite CC Cream foundation. This gives good glow in a way I didn't think possible. Which leads me to my number #3 fab find...

I'm using all three, but the Infusion gives the glow. Butter Drench is amazing for very dry skin.

3. BareMinerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion should win all of the awards. I've only been using it for two weeks (maybe?) and the glow I've gotten is unbelievable. I kind of thought maybe it was all of my extra napping, but nope. It's definitely the Infusion. (That's a fancy word for a serum, using a special process BareMinerals patented specifically to boost the efficacy of the California Poppy, Long Life Herb, and Lempuyang Ginger Extracts.) My skin looks healthier and glows in a way I've not experienced before. Seriously.

4. Urban Decay Urban Spectrum Palette is amazeballs gorgeous. The packaging is going to cause heartbreak for a bunch of us, but you'll still want to grab it. And to keep it well after the shadows are gone.

5. It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara is hands down my new holy grail mascara. I don't understand the magic contained in the sleek new mascara packaging. The brush doesn't look wacky and has normal bristles. Here's how It explains it:

Proprietary Elastic Stretch Technology wraps each individual lash in a volume-boosting, lengthening and ultra-conditioning black cape of power and color that’s clinically shown to give you your strongest, longest, thickest and most defined lashes!

Seeing is believing and so get ready to be impressed. My paltry, skinny, not-great on a good day lashes look like falsies after one coat of Superhero mascara.

'Nuff said. (Seriously, just add to your cart.)

What are you doing this weekend? There's a football game or something, right? Whatever you do, have a beautiful weekend!

  1. Hello Kelly, I'm looking for a foundation that will give a glowy look but not a tin man look. you've had some favorites and I'm curious to what you may recommend. Normal but sensitive skin, ecxema patches under my eyes during winter time, some small age spots. Thank you for your help

    1. My friends with ecxema seem to love Urban Decay's Skin foundation. You may also love Make Up For Ever's 4K foundation. If you want drugstore, the TruMatch by Covergirl is great.

  3. Is that before after image real ? I can't believe!!!
But how to hide the pimple marks with this product. If it is effective for that, i need to try ;)

  4. Ok, you convinced me to try the bareminerals stuff. I thought I was officially leaving the line, but my skin has not been happy for a while and I'm desperate.

I have been using the SuperHero Mascara too at the suggestion of Sheila the model on QVC (I follow her and chat on InstaGram a bit). I was so loving the mascara...but my tube has been open now for 3 weeks and it's getting gunkier (is that a word) by the day. It's awesome, new and unused at the beginnging. But...the longer I have it the more clumps I get on my lashes and at my age, I just want lashes...not to look like Tammy Faye Baker did. Sigh. So...i think...I might stick with their TightLine mascara...have you tried that yet?!? Hit me up on IG, I'm MrsBootc there...I don't check here much lately. ~melody~

    1. MrsBootc!!! Hey there! The skincare is amazing. I can't believe how great it looks and how much it glows. I've not had the mascara that long, but if it gets gunky on me, you're going to hear about it. I can't believe the look this gives. I hope your mascara was an isolated case!
