I can't love everything. And while I dislike dishing negativity onto every one's plates, you have to know what failed me, right?
Urban Decay's New Waterliner 24/7 Eye Pencil
Here's a thought. Since the waterline is naturally wet, why are we always trying to put down something that repels water? Isn't that missing the point? Why would applying something waterproof to an area that is wet work? Why wouldn't it just slide right off? I had high hopes that this liner would conquer that age-old issue, but nopes. It's like the wetness from your eyes and the waterproof eyeliner fight each other, causing a rapid dissolving of any pigment. Fail (and yes, I tried drying my waterline with a q-tip, first. Here's the thing. It's just meant to be moist.).
What does work for me is the Hourglass Gel Liner, the Eau La La Liner from Sleek and the chubby Master Kajal liners from Maybelline.
Briogeo Rosarco Hair Oil
This oil sounded too good to be true. The description nails everything I want. An oil that penetrates the hair shaft, with good-for-you ingredients and highly concentrated. And it's not that expensive! Yeah. So here's the thing. If you use more than 2 drops for your crazy thick, thirsty hair, it doesn't penetrate squat. My hair was oily (and my hair is never oily). Maybe it's better for thinner hair that doesn't require as much hydration. But for thick, coarse hair, nope. Nope. Nopeddey nope.
Instead, try Mythic Oil from L'OREAL Professional or Kuene Care Line Satin Oil.
This mascara has two ends - one for priming and one for lashing. The primer is too watery and the brush is nothing special. The two combined do almost nothing to make my sad, lackluster lashes pop. Blurg. I'm not getting any extra length or extra oomph or extra anything. If you have longer lashes already, this might give you a nicer, natural look. But don't expect miracles.
Try Urban Decay Subversion and Perversion or Armani Eyes To Kill.
