Weekend Beauty Haul: Retrodiva and Gouldylox

Purchased my me. Contains affiliate links.

This weekend, the Retrodiva herself--my sister from another mister, Meredith--came up to hang out, go shopping, watch some movies and relax. Of course, two beauty bloggers can't be left alone for long before a drugstore or Sephora trip happens. I'm always up for trying new things and Meredith has tried everything. What products piqued our interest? What couldn't these two seasoned beauty lovers live without?

Our first stop was CVS/Pharmacy, where I could spend hours looking for the latest and greatest. I also randomly got coupons for deodorant and makeup, so I had to shop.

I grabbed a Dove deodorant to replace the Dove Dry Spray I had been using. I like the ease of the spray, but the actual regular deodorant works better for me. Thanks for the savings, CVS ExtraCare Beauty Club!

We also took a small detour into comparing lipliners and got OBSESSED with finding the right one. We landed on grabbing a Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in Innocent and it's the perfect shade of a barely tan nude liner. The liner itself is a little soft (so don't expose much of the liner). It's also a little tacky, which is great for really keeping your lipstick in place!

I needed a new cleanser and squeed when I realized that my CVS/Pharmacy now carried Nip and Fab. I had heard their Glycolic Fix Cleanser was fantastic and I grabbed the last one of the shelves.

I also had run out of my John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Conditioner and needed more. I add a touch of this conditioner to my normal conditioner and it adds extreme shine and brightens the tone of my hair. I love this stuff.

Obsessed with split ends, Meredith convinced me to try Redken's Extreme Anti-Snap to help control my damaged hair that favors cotton candy on most days. My friend Jayne told me that she loves the Redken Extreme Length Sealer and since Hair Cuttery was having a sale, I grabbed both.

We finished at Sephora where, oddly, we didn't see anything we couldn't live without. I did pick up a Kat Von D Lock It Concealer because I was gobsmacked at how natural it looked while not creasing under my eyes. It's a really elegant formula with serious staying power.

What did you haul this weekend? Loving it or returning? Tell me all about it in the comments below!
