It's the return of Fab Five Friday! What's that? It's five products that have captured my attention over the last five days. And I just can't stop at five!
Cherry Blooms Instant Fiber Eyebrow Builder Kits are a really interesting way to add oomph to your over-tweezed brows. Think of this as a brow powder with a crazy amount of fibers to build the look of thicker brows. It even comes with stencils, just in case you need a little more help. I tried the blond shade, which pulled a bit red on me. But my brows were kind of killer.
NYC New York Color Strip Me Off Base Coat is way too much fun to play with. Sick of spending more minutes than seems reasonable to remove glitter nail polish? Me too. Strip Me Off Base Coat fixes that problem in a similar fashion to what DIY manicure addicts have been doing forever--using a craft glue as a base coat. Obviously. using glue on your nails is cumbersome, hard to spread and can turn into a mess. NYC thinned out the glue and made it apply easily, like a regular polish. When you're ready for a change, you just peel it off. It's so satisfying, I can't leave my mani alone. Try it on your cuticles too if you're doing a water marbling manicure. For about $2, you can't go wrong.
1907 By Fromm Square Thermal Brushes are kind of awesome. A square brush? What the what? Perfect your blowout with a brush that can do straight, curled or wavy styles with ease. Sure, anyone with a little talent can do the same with a regular round brush. But for those of us without pro skills (like me), this brush adds mega volume, loose waves and beautifully straight bangs. Plus, the copper barrel heats hair faster than a regular thermal brush and is anti-microbial. And it contains a mix of nylon, ionic and real boar bristles, which are fabulous for most hair types. I've been playing with the medium size a lot this week and kind of love it. They are available in three sizes at Ulta for less than $25.
Beauty DNA is a genius beauty service that gets to the bottom of your skin issues and helps get you on the right track to gorgeous skin. You start by taking a (longish) detailed survey all about your skincare needs. Beauty DNA analyzes exactly what you are looking for and serves up one recommendation per month. While the cost is only $25 per month and includes free shipping, my first product June Jacobs Age Defying Copper Complex retails for $148. I don't know that the value is that extreme each month, but it's a great find for not much money. If you've always wondered what it's like to try some higher-end brands, this is for you. Just don't come crying to me when you get hooked on something rich.
Seaweed Bath Company makes the most amazing scented body wash. I'm so in love with it I might be hiding it from my husband so he doesn't use it all up when he takes a shower. Eucalyptus and Peppermint is the perfect way to wake up in the morning. It's bright, fresh and I can't help but smile as soon as I catch a whiff. Plus, thanks to the seaweed and other natural ingredients, it helps soothe my very dry skin. And it's not expensive (and looks so cute in the bathroom),
Sunday Riley Luna Oil is addictive. We all know I have a face (and hair) oil addiction and this is the creme de la creme of the oils. Luna contains several different types of oil, including blue tansy and a retinol. You'll see a little difference over night. It's pricey, but kind of amazing. And the Flora Oil is, hands down, my favorite oil to use along with the Cover FX Cover Drops. It wears longer than the Resist Oil and looks much more luminous. I've picked up both last week and I don't care if I have to eat ramen for the rest of the month.
Balm Chicky Balm Balm is my favorite lip balm and you can now grab it at Target! You may have seen it wow the investors on Shark Tank and for good reason! It's available in a size three times larger than regular tubes of lip balm and it makes lips feel heavenly. Plus, it's got a special end that you can use for friends.
What are you loving this week? Tell me what I need to be checking out!
