This week, I've found some oddities, some gorgeous colors and a few things you may want to grab for summer. Here are my five favorite products this week (plus a bonus product I couldn't leave out)!
Facial Smoothies Wrinkle Removal Strips: These are unusual...I've had them for a bit and have only used them a few times. Here's how it works. Apply the plastic sheet to your face, over the wrinkles that give you the most worry. Do not apply them close to your eyes. Be sure to "release" the edge, so your face isn't left with a plastic sheet indention. Go to sleep. When you wake up, your skin will be smoother, albeit temporarily. I suppose if you use these often, you may see longer lasting results. If you don't mind sleeping with plastic bits attached to your face. These do make your face freaky smooth, so start wearing them now. While my husband didn't care, I'm not so sure everyone else would feel the same. What do you think of these? I only wish the difference between non-treated areas and treated areas wasn't so obvious. Otherwise, these work way better than I ever dreamed.
Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in London Posh: This is like a bit of sunlight for the face. This new lippie goes on like a gloss and leaves behind a little stain. I grabbed the color most similar to NARS' Orgasm, but am going to head back to my CVS and grab some other colors. I love this!
Davines Oi is also available in a travel size and after the latest round of hair lightening (on the path to going au naturale), I'm thrilled to carry it with me every single place I go. My larger bottle is almost empty again!
Ecru Acacia Protein Shampoo and Conditioner are an amazing sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. If you need to beef up your damaged hair but crave the suds of a more traditional shampoo, this is the BEST shampoo that straddles the world of "no sulfates, lots of suds". And they won't break the bank. The shampoo and conditioner retail for $9 each!
Finally, Sephora just released a new Luster Matte Long-Wear Lip Color that is essentially a dupe for Too Faced's Melted. Except the Sephora version is only $16 and available in way more colors, including ones that are actually easier to wear. Plus, it's more hydrating. At the time of writing this, I've only been playing with it for a few hours, but my initial thought is go get 'em!
