Too Faced recently launched Melted, their Liquefied Long Wear Lipsticks. Available in six colors, these shades don't disappoint!
I picked up Peony and Fuchsia, which are both colors I never thought I would wear. A light pink? A hot pink? On me? I doubted it. But then I swatched and tried them on and I was WOWED. They go on like butter. Fully pigmented, smooth and with a satin finish; they don't come off for hours. They aren't the most hydrating lip colors I've ever tried, nor are they the glossiest, despite what you've heard. I would call the finish satin, not glossy.
That said, they are long lasting, beautiful and easy to wear! These Melted colors are truly pigmented. There is nothing sheer about them, so if you are expecting anything other than a full-bodied, liquid lipstick, you'll be disappointed. If you want a strong lipcolor that doesn't quit, you've found your match!
Many have compared them to OCC's Lip Tars and I suppose that is fair. While both are long wearing, the OCC Lip Tars are a bit different.
OCC Lip tars are really meant to be mixed by pros (and now consumers who love the process). Many of their colors aren't that easily wearable on their own. Sure, some of them are, but most aren't. Melted LLWLs are meant to be worn straight out of the tube and even have a sponge applicator to help with easy application. The available six shades of Melted are all totally wearable on their own, without any messy mixing.
If these were a touch more hydrating, I'd buy all six. But I'm loving the two I picked up! Have you tried these? What did you think? Share in the comments!
