Pantone announced a passel of colors to be the trend leaders for this year. Their star color? Radiant Orchid. It's a color that can be a little hard to describe. It's a pinkish-purple that is a blend of lavender and rich purple, with a touch of brightness.
Radiant Orchid can be a hard color to wear. It's so...light purple. Still, there are tons of beautiful products that will work on almost anyone, if you know where to look.
Want to try the trend? Try these!
Blushing Orchid Lipgloss, Lipstick and Blush by Giella: You just can't go wrong with any of these! Plus, you can customize them to be exactly perfect for you.
Purple Orchid Shadow Quad from Boots: These shadows are more purple than Orchid, but I love them so much, I had to include them.
Revlon has a deep, matte orchid, Shameless, which is a most unusual color. If a deep, yet bright, purple intrigues you and you aren't afraid of color, you'll want to check this out.
One of my favorite lip colors of the season comes from Milani. Power Lip in Raspberry Tart is a long wearing shade that doesn't fade unevenly, remains shiny and wears for hours.
YSL just launched a new pearlized version of their amazing Rouge Pur Couture Vinyl Lip Stains. Part of the Rebel Nude collections, 107 Naughty Mauve is gorgeous and feels unlike any other lipstick and had amazing wear.
Bite has a beautiful light orchid matte lip stain. Violet, that looks impossible to wear but trust, it's gorgeous.
Finally, Prestige's Total Intensity Total Wear Lip Crayon in Wine Not? is a long-wearing, gorgeous deep orchid with the perfect blend of color and shimmer. Want your orchid in an eyeliner? try Prestige's Around the Clock for a long wearing shock of orchid around your eyes.
