For those obsessed with their hair (and how to style it), give them this bundle of hair styling essentials and the book, "Braids, Buns and Twists" by Christina Butcher. They'll never have a bad hair day again!
For the guy on the go, pick up Shave Tech. This iPhone-sized razor is tiny, light and perfect for travel. It charges off of a USB and is small enough to create clean lines around beards, as well as a clean face. It's also perfect for women who shave their face (keep your shade to yourself, please). I do it and so do thousands of other women. This razor is small enough to make shaving your face easy, without feeling like you're borrowing your dad's razor. Plus it's only $29.99. The one downside is that isn't great on really thick hair. It's better for stubbly beards than for those with longer, really coarse hairs.
The beauty palette to pick up this season is the Naked 3 Palette, if you can get it. Since it's most likely sold out, check out the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Matte Luxe Shadow Palette, The Balm Nude Tude and the LORAC PRO Palette instead. All three are gorgeous alternatives if the Naked 3 remains elusive. You can't replicate the rosiness of the Naked 3, but you will get the same amount of oohs and ahhs (a little birdie told me Naked 3 was hitting shelves on 12/12/13 at Sephora and Ulta, but I haven't been able to confirm that anywhere else).
For the woman who adores loose pigmented shadow, it doesn't get any better than the Degrees of Dazzling collection of Velvets, High Shine, Glimmers and Liners from bareMinerals. While it doesn't include new shadows, if your shadow-loving loved one hasn't been able to update their wardrobe lately, this will do the trick in one gorgeous gift.
Know what most of the beauty bloggers (that I know) picked up on Black Friday? The HAC Pack from MaskCara. It contains her IIID Foundation, Blush of your choice and Highlight and Contouring Shades. It just launched, so please support Cara and be the first on your block to own her newly launched HAC Pack.
Finally, in case you didn't know, when I'm not stalking the shelves anywhere that sells makeup, I'm helping people with therapy dogs. Seven years ago, Loxy and I formed Karma Dogs, a non-profit that helps kids accomplish different therapeutic goals with the help of rescue dogs. We're tiny, but we help thousands of kids each year. In order to keep our programs going, we put together a very special calendar to help support Karma Dogs. 100% of the proceeds go to funding our programs directly. Please consider purchasing a Karma Dogs calendar for $20 (+ shipping) so we can keep paying it forward with a little help from our four-footed friends. Please consider ordering a copy to help our dogs keep helping the kids of Baltimore. Remember, what comes around, goes around.
