Buy This: L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder

I'm in love. In love with a drugstore foundation, which doesn't happen that often for me. I had suspected this might be a dupe of my beloved  Armani Maestro Foundation (read the review here). And it is. But it's better.

L'Oreal's Magic Nude is a very liquid-y foundation that gives a light to medium amount of coverage which can be layered to get the perfect finish. It stays on all day long and looks almost as good at the end of the day as it did at the beginning. I've been wearing it for about two weeks and it's the only thing I'm currently reaching for.

Classic Ivory is the shade for me, but there is one shade lighter for you translucent women. The only issue I have with this foundation is that I wish it came with a dropper top. Like the Armani as it can really easily pour out if you aren't extremely careful. I like to use it by putting a small amount on the back of my hand and applying with my It Cosmetics dual ended foundation brush. I set with a powder and my skin looks, dare I say, better than ever. This is a pretty amazing foundation at the $13 price point.

If you need major coverage, you'll want to add a concealer to trouble spots before applying this foundation. Otherwise, I don't have a single complaint. It even boasts an SPF of 18!

  2. Does this have a fragrance? If so how strong is it? It sounds like something I need to try.

    1. It does not smell (any more than any other drug store foundation.)

  3. How well do you think it would work for very oily skin? I'm using the garnier bb cream in the oil prone version and it gets a little shiny throughout the day.
