Top Ten Tuesdays! Ten Best Cream Makeup Products

Eleventy years ago, a wise blogger once said, "say no to powder! It makes you look older, accentuates lines and does you no favors. Always choose a creamy product!" Or some thing like that. At the time, I thought she was nuts. But now that I'm older, I realize she is totally right. Not all powders are bad, but creams are my favorite.

Here is a look at my ten favorite cream products.

Dr. Jart Water Fused Smart Gel BB Cream: I'm not sure what this product actually is; gel, cream, or custard, but if the color works for you, it's a gorgeous base.

Make Up For Ever Microfinish Cream Blushes: These just make the skin glow. A little goes a long way and nothing looks more natural. I'm not sure why these don't get more love!

Chanel Illusion d'Ombre shadow in Mirifique: It's been about two years and I still reach for this constantly. If cream shadows don't work for you, make sure you are using a mattifying primer on your lids first. I like Too Faced's Glitter Glue. Others with oily lids adore Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials Sparkle.

Ziaja Goat's Milk Hand Cream: It must be the silicone in this lotion that makes me love how my hands feel after applying. This creamy hand lotion contains real hydrators too! And you can't beat the price.

Mally Beauty's Evercolor Poreless Face Defender: This is the best makeup setting secret. While this isn't technically a cream, it takes the place of setting powders, and gives your face a creamy, dewy appearance.

COVER FX Total Cover Cream Foundation: This is easily my favorite foundation for a full coverage look. It still looks natural, but lasts an entire day and gives the skin a slight, radiant glow.

Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream: This line of CC Creams is worth the hype. Skin looks dewy, radiant and beautiful.

I'm obsessed with Dior's Abricot Nail Cream. It's always sold out when I go to the store, but I can't walk by without grabbing some as a sample.

Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector is more liquid-y than a technical cream. Mixing a drop or two with your foundation makes your skin look airbrushed.

Dalton's H2Glo Highlighting Cream Compact is hands down the best high liter I've found. The sheen stays all day, without migrating or fading. And there is no glitter!

  1. I love my Mally Face Defender. I've finished a full size and a smaller size already. It is amazing. The Chanel is beautiful but I'm always afraid of those dark colors, maybe I should brave up!
