The Beauty Blogger Top Ten Tuesdays:10 Must Have Products For Summer

Need to put together the perfect summer bag of beauty? Here are my top 10 products you'll need to survive the season.

Guerlain BB Cream

Start with a BB Cream with SPF. I'm still obsessed with Revlon's Photoready BB Cream. If you want to up your spend, please check out Guerlain's Lingerie De Peau Beauty Booster BB Cream. It's only available in two shades, but if one works for you, you'll be amazed how great your skin looks.  Both of these offer an SPF, which is never a bad idea!

Tahati Bronzer

Pick a Bronzer. I love the look of glowing skin, so my favorite right now is Buxom's Hot Escape Bronzer. It's available in two shades, Tahiti and Maldives. Plus they smell like the beach, but just ever so slightly.

Pretty liners

Add a pop of color to your lower lid. Check out Barrow St by NARS or Lagoon Green by MUFE for the easiest way to get a cute look without the work. Just be sure to smudge, smudge, smudge!

Add a Waterproof Mascara. No one likes raccoon eyes, which can happen from sweat, swimming or humidity--all of which are things I try to avoid. But if you insist, check out Tarte's Light Camera Splashes or Maybelline Volum Express The Falsies Mascara. Both of these will give you lashes worthy of attracting the attention of that hot lifeguard.

Grab a beautiful nude gloss to compliment your bronze goddess-ness. Laura Mercier just launched a line of Summer Nude Glosses that are wonderful for this exact look. They offer range of nudes, so one of them is going to make your pucker look perfect.

great sunscreen

Always apply your SPF thirty minutes before going outside. Neutrogena and Aveeno make great SPF for the face and body.  I'm also loving DDF's Weightless Defense Hydrator SPF 45. It makes your skin feel so smooth, you'll never want to use anything else again.

Best Self Tanner

Since tanning is no longer a good idea, fake bake with Beautisol. There is next to no smell, you'll never look orange and it's easy to apply.

Best Oil for Hair

Keep your hair hydrated! When you go poolside, wet your hair first and add an oil like Davines Oi, which has a UV filter. The oil with nourish your hair, while keeping chemicals and salt out. The UV filter will protect your color. Bonus: You'll have super soft hair!

Never brush your hair when it's wet!  Those popping sounds are your precious strands breaking, so don't stress your hair! If you must brush, grab a Wet Brush and keep with you at all times. The gentle bristles will detangle your hair without the damage.

Grab some of these Magic Grip Hair Pins and never leave home without them again. They will hold even the heaviest of hair and can create a sleek chignon, bun or twist in a hot second. And they are so inexpensive!
