Emjoi Micro-Pedi is a Salon in a Box

I've been raving about the Emjoi Micro-Pedi for a long time. Here's a post from two years ago (along with the delightful first words my father ever said about me). I loved it then and I loved it now.

Here is the deal. It's summer time. It's time to get those piggies out of your cramped, hot shoes and into something alluring. I get it. Good pedis are expensive and there are times in your life where buying paint for your new living room or extra flooring for your kitchen is more important that having presentable feet.

I'm not into scrubbing my feet with that callous thingy. And I'm certainly not letting a spa use one of those callous shavers!  I'm more of a "put something in my hand that will do it for me while I watch 'Call The Midwife' " kind of girl. So between the money and my interest (or lack thereof) in foot care, this little gem is perfect for me.

Here is how it works. The Emjoi Micro-Pedi comes with a little gizmo that has a roller with grit. You insert the batteries, turn it on and get salon-perfect feet without cutting, shaving or working up a sweat removing the dead skin that builds up. Ta-da! It's that simple. But now, it's even better.

The Emjoi has little kits that are available separately that can do a myriad of things. You can attach a little doodad and it can file, shape and buff your nails without you putting out any serious effort. Have callouses in tricky places on your toes? You can buy a cone-shaped adapter that can get into those little spaces and whip them into shape.

This is a perfect device for summer and year round for your nails. Score an Emjoi Micro-Pedi for $40 and the each set of attachments for an additional $20. It's perfect if you are on a budget, a DIYer or for maintenance between appointments.

  2. This sounds exactly what I need as I also hate using those callous paddles and have never really found them effective anyway.

  4. As a woman who lives as much of her life as possible barefoot, I wage a constant battle with rough, dry skin. As for calluses- I am an over-achiever. I have often joked with my daughter that I need to use a belt sander on them. Not anymore. The Micro-Pedi sends all other tools (pumice, ped eggs etc, and yes, belt sanders) into the trash.
