Tarte recently released a waterproof collection of spring and summer colors inspired by the Aqualillies. This team of beautiful synchronized swimmers are dazzling onlookers everywhere. Those ladies look amazing dry and wet, which isn't easy.

To keep your look lovely in and out of the water, Tarte is offering up a new Summer Collection that includes new waterproof  Lip Colors, a waterproof Eye and Cheek Palette and of course, their signature Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eye Liners. You can check out the entire collection in their video here. Think of this collection as Underwater Pinup (I'm not even kidding a little!).

I got the chance to play with the new Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eye Liners in Black and Splash.

Of course these liners are smooth, easy to apply and wear unbelievably well. They're Tarte! The black stays put on my waterline, which longtime readers know is no easy feat. But let's talk about the shade Splash.

(I'm wearing Splash as a shadow so you can really see the color.)

Splash is a gorgeous teal, a shimmering blue-green that embodies every fantasy you've ever had about summer vacations, hazy days and being a mermaid. Sure, you can wear it as an eyeliner, but I'm loving it as a shadow. Talk about a long-wearing shadow! Pair it with the black liner in a cat eye and you'll embody the look of underwater pinup. (You know you want to be a trend setter in that vintage mashup category!) Or, pair the black on the inner rim of your eyes and Splash as the liner. Or line your eyes with black and add a small line of Splash from your mid-iris to the edge of the black liner. Get creative!

Each liner comes with a gorgeous retro-looking brush. It is quickly replacing the black and red one currently on my vanity. It's so cute and works perfectly.

The Black Amazonian Clay Liner is available at Ulta on April 1. Splash is a Sephora exclusive. Check out the entire collection at Each retails for $24 and includes the brush.

  1. Splash is a pretty color, but I think you'd look a lot prettier using it as a liner instead of a shadow. It's WAY too much as a shadow!
