Miracle on Skin Care Street: The Answer to My Dry Skin

I've been using a new skin lightening treatment to break up my hyper-pigmentation.  While it's actually working, (it's Brightenex - more on this later) it makes my skin dry, peel and flake. I am hopeful my skin will adjust, but it hasn't so far.

So my skin is super dry. I mean super dry. Nothing was helping to ease my dryness. Not Vitamin B-5, not hyaluronic acid, not even coconut oil. All of my go-tos were failing me. So when I was checking out new items at Sephora, I asked for a sample of First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask.

That night, when I cleansed my face, I used the mask on wet skin. I let it dry for about 10 minutes and washed it off. Instantly, my face was so much softer, hydrated and wasn't feeling itchy or irritated. It's like finally getting a drink of cool water when you've been thirsty forever.

If you have chronic dry skin (or just dry skin in general), this might be exactly what you are looking for. I'm heading back to the store tomorrow so I can add it to my regimen a few times each week. Pick it up for yourself for $22 from Sephora.

I haven't bought this yet. But I'm gonna. Post may contain affiliate links.

  1. In the summer my skin is ok, but in winter in MN, it's a flaky, cracky, red, hurting, dry mess! I will definitely check this out for when the air starts to get super dry and cold.
