FOTD: Makeup Geek's Mermaid and Unicorn

Makeup Geek has been one of my favorite websites since it's inception and it's no surprise that Marlena launched her own line of cruelty-free, custom blended pressed shadows. Anyone who has seen her tutorials knows that she loves color and loves to show you how you can experiment with color without feeling self-conscious.

I recently got a chance to check out some of her shadows and wanted to share one of my favorite looks with you. It's so simple, anyone can do it. Those with fair skin and blue eyes will love this, as it accentuates your eyes while giving you a touch of unexpected color. The purple and teal combo is striking and soft.

Here are the products I used:

Eyes:
Primer: Make Up For Ever Eye  Primer, a great, colorless, thin primer that adheres shadow like glue.
All over color: NYX Champagne, a shimmering light nude
Outside crease: Unicorn, a a shimmery bluish, purple
Middle of lid: Mermaid, a bright, metallic teal with bits of golden shimmer
Liner: Too Faced Three Way Lash Lining Tool
Mascara: Diorshow New Look

Face:
Smashbox  More Than Primer, Dark Spot Correcting Primer
Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer
Stila Stay the Day Foundation and Concealer in Fair
Napoleon Perdis Ultimate Contour Palette

Lips:
Dior Rose Croisere Gloss
