Testing Scandal'Eyes by Rimmel

I have recently found a mascara that I love so much, I'm not sure I need to try anything else. That said, it's my duty to test mascara to continue to look for something better. Enter Rimmel's fairly new Scandal'Eyes. This mascara promises the end of false lashes with their biggest brush ever. Plus collagen and keratin to give you plump, full lashes.

(This is a seriously thick brush!)

The product write up on the website claims that this mascara is so scandalous, you could get thrown in jail, bring down a Presidential candidate or join MI-5, I'm not really sure which. The site doesn't specify, although the chick in the ad is in jail. I think for being a really, really dirty girl. I'm not sure. I'm almost 40 and more likely to be cranky than a dirty girl. Clearly, if you are up for shenanigans or trouble, this is the mascara for you.

So does it make you a scandalous, bad girl who needs to be punished? Let's find out!

(The brush is as big as my eye.)

Here are my lashes without mascara.

Here are my lashes with Scandal'Eyes, including photos to show how buildable it is.

Here are my lashes with one layer of Scandal'EYES.

Here are my lashes with two coats of Scandal'EYES, with a coat of powder in-between.

Here are my lashes with three coats of Scandal'EYES, with a coat of powder in-between. They are getting spidery and out of control. But WOW. That is some serious volume and length!

In general, I really like Rimmel and their mascaras. I tend to like Glam'Eyes a little more than this one, but if you want a thick brush that adds a bit of length and volume to your lashes that is buildable, this is worth checking out! This is actually a perfect mascara for layering. To get super volume and length, I've added layers of translucent powder between layers of Scandal'EYES to get a seriously large look. Pick it up for under $8 everywhere Rimmel is sold!

  1.  So sorry I didn't see this sooner! To add powder to your lashes, I used a flat, long shadow brush. I coated my lashes with mascara then added a layer of translucent setting powder by blinking into the flat brush. Then I applied more mascara and so on. It's so much easier than you think!

  2. How do you add powder between applications? What did you use? Thank you. I've never heard of this before.

  3. The brush is so huge, I'm almost not sure how anyone manages it!

  4. I really didn't get on with this mascara, it looks much better on you! I just found the formula didn't do anything for my lashes and the huge brush is a mess on my small very hooded eyes.
