Orlane Bronzing Pressed Powder in Soleil Cuivre 02

In my quest for a perfect bronzer for fair skin, I think I may have found it in Orlane's Bronzing Pressed Powder.

First of all, this light bronze tone goes on silky smooth, blending flawlessly with even the most fair of skin tones. The powder is finely milled, making application smooth and even instead of blotchy. Skin looks radiant and sun-kissed by the actual sun, not by sparkle-flecked bronzer. This is the difference between looking like a bronze goddess in Ibiza and looking like a truly tanned goddess on safari. Make sense?

Secondly, this palette is big enough to use on the whole body. A giant blush brush is perfectly at home with this compact. Run this bronzer on either side of your throat, across your collar bones, even your legs. It adds a touch of color that looks natural.

Finally, there is no sparkle. No glitz. No shiny tones or mixes of colors that blend. It's more of a "dry" bronzer, as opposed to one that gives you a reflective, non-matte look. It's perfect from the first time you pick it up, without any worry about looking shiny or not being to apply the product perfectly.

(Swatched on my pale arm.)

For pale to medium-toned women (and men), I'm not surprised this is the go-to product for many makeup artists around the world. Check it out yourself for $45. You won't be disappointed.

  1. Everyday Minerals had the BEST bronzer called "Winter Bronze".  It looked just like this!  I wish they still made it...
