Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadows + Swatches

I'm on currently on a Smashbox kick. And these new Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadows are high on my priority list. I've picked up two of them so far, Neptune, which seemed fitting considering my current re-falling in love with Veronica Mars and Riches, a pretty gold-y bronze.

Smashbox has released eight new creamy, long-wearing pots of must-have just in time for warmer weather.

(Left to right: Topaz, Riches, Gemstone, Icon, Neptune, Sapphire, Iris, Stone)
All of the colors are shiny, glistening and lovely. Neptune has a bit more green than the picture shows.  Riches shows up as a buttery, bronze-y gold on my pale skin tone, while Topaz shows up as a shimmering nude on me. Stone is a complicated little greenish-grey beaut that's going to end up living with its friends at my house sooner than later.

 (Neptune and Riches)

There honestly isn't a clunker in the bunch. Have you tried these? Do you like a cream shadow in the warmer months or no? I cannot turn away from the gorgeous tealy-blue that Neptune brings, no matter what the temperature!

I bought these.

  1. I haven't used them as a base, but I would think you could. The matte Color Tattoo's have a little more sticky to them, if memory serves. These are definitely slightly more slick on the skin, but I think you could use them as a primer.

  2. Do you ever use these as a base? Dont know if they're similar or not to the maybelline color tattoo? I use that more often then not as a base under my shadows, to enhance the color... have you done this or do you wear them plain??
