Name and Win Adele's Lip Color from Three Custom Color

Ever since the Grammys, I've been searching high and low to determine what that gorgeous coral/poppy/peachy shade was that Adele wore in her comeback performance. Usually, my inbox is filled with the details of who wore what before they've even stepped in front of the camera. But for some reason, this lip color remains elusive.

Chad, one of the lead makeup stylists/creators/color geniuses of Three Custom Color, was up for the challenge of trying to match Adele's performance lip color, and agreed to give it a go.  Since there weren't that many great photos of her actual color, I sent him the video and a still, along with what I liked about her color. Since everyone sees color differently, I wanted to make sure that what I loved about the lip came across in the Three Custom Version.

Here are my initial thoughts about the color itself.

What I think is so pretty about this color is that it is a light peach with a kiss of poppy, but it isn't a color that is so light or bright it's overwhelming on her face. She has a crazy full face of makeup and yet it's complementary, which is so hard to do with anything but a very light, almost nude color. I would think it is probably a cream as opposed to something matte or glossy, with a medium amount of shine. It definitely has a pink quality to it, but not in an overwhelming way.

One week later, my perfect Adele shade arrived! It's beautiful and does everything the original color does. It's a complicated peachy, pink tone that really looks exactly like how Adele appeared on the Grammys!

I have one set of this custom lip color to give away to a lucky reader. But before I can do that, I need your help. This color needs a name! We can't just call it Adele (too easy!) or name it after any of her songs (pesky copyrights!). So Chad and I are hoping you can help us name this shade. Adele is so inspiring for so many reasons. For starters, there is her amazing voice, her comeback and songs full of honest emotion. I love Adele for being a gorgeous non-stick figure role model for all of us stylish women over size 10. And I would be lying if I didn't adore the fact that she fell for a guy who was clearly not worthy. We've all been there, haven't we? Can you imagine if you had to admit that you had your heart broken by a guy named Slinky to the entire world? I love her and everything she stands for, but I still am at a loss as to what to name this lipstick!

So we need your help! Look for the Rafflecopter giveaway link below and enter to win two full-size tubes of this custom color. All you have to do is tell us what you would name this color! (And live in the US, and not have a PO box. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.) Three Custom Color and I will select our favorite and announce the winner and the name two weeks from now!

Can't wait to win? This color is not part of the permanent Three Custom Color collection, but you can order it for yourself by calling 888-262-7714. You'll have to order two tubes ($30 each - it's still a custom color, so each tube will be made to order)  and ask for it by requesting The Gouldylox color.

(Wearing ??? by Three Custom Color. Give it a name, will ya?)

At least, you'll have to do that until it has its own proper name, which will be shortly after you start submitting ideas!  We can't wait to hear your name suggestions, so start entering! And if you are yearning for your own unique color, Three Custom can create one for you, too! THIS CONTEST IS OVER AND A WINNER HAS BEEN CHOSEN.

  23. My first idea would be Tea-Rose Pink...but that's to obvious since she's brittish hence the tea, and the pink tea rose is somewhat the same color (to me actually) and ofc many other brands already use this name so it's not that original. But I would forget the peachy tones as well....

    Soooo I would go for .... Hybrid ( Tea-Peach )  :)
