Top Three Game Changers of 2011: Skincare

While I am not always happy with my body, I am largely happy with the skin. At least the skin on my face. My arms have those dreaded red bumps the Irish are famous for. But my face, I'm largely happy with that. Still, some products make a serious impression and I don't want to be without them.
Here are my favorite three products for the face from 2011.

#3. Murad Intensive Face Re-Surfacing Peel. This at-home peel is my favorite of the year for the DIY'ers. I liked it much better than the more expensive one everyone brags about. I got better results. I'm not slamming the other Brazilian brand, I'm just saying that I got better results with this. In fact, I liked it so much, it was one of the few products added to my Holy Grail list.

#2. Aveeno's Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream. Aveeno has been the go-to company for dry, itchy skin since long before your parents were born. They have taken the properties of colloidal oatmeal to new heights. While this lotion is suggested for those with eczema, I love to slather my hands and scratch freshly-shaved legs with it at night so I wake up with hydrated, non-itchy skin. This is fragrance-free, steroid-free and gentle enough for babies. It leaves my skin super soft in a way that other lotions do not. It's not heavy, and it doesn't just sink into my skin and feel like I never use a lotion. It's the middle ground where you dry-skinned girls will find bliss. Check it out for less than $10.

#1. Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum. I love this serum. Love it. I've told countless people to purchase it, and other than a pro friend of mine who still hasn't used it, everyone else has loved it. It has made my face brighter, clearer and more radiant than any other product all year. It's not that expensive, it will last you for a long time and it works. What more do you want? It's good stuff.
