For the holidays, Make Up For Ever has some really amazing gift sets, that highlight some of their best products. Personally, I would love to own the Aqua Cream Premium Set, which includes ten Aqua Cream shadows and an eye brush. These are some of the hands-down uncontested best cream shadows ever created. And the kit will set you back $175. While I would drool over each shade, that's a lot of cashmonkey.
If that is too steep for you, or you are new to Make Up For Ever, you are going to want to check out the Best of Make Up For Ever, which is now available at Sephora for $55. This collection comes with a Smoky Lash Mascara in Extra Black, an Aqua Cream in Warm Beige, a Lab Shine lip gloss S4, a travel-size Aqua Eyes mini liner in matte black, HD Microperfecting Primer To Go and a mini HD Microfinish Powder.
Since this kit is obviously such a great value, let's take a look at each item, shall we?
The Smoky Lash in Extra Black gives your lashes a dramatic, thick fringe. This formula is thicker than your average mascara and gives you serious volume. Just take it slowly, and you can build dramatic lashes. Be sure to keep a lash comb handy to comb out your lashes.

MUFE's Aqua Creams are amazing, un-budgeable cream shadows. These do not move once they dry down and they retain their shine and luster until you take them off. I prefer to apply the shadow with my finger (assuming you aren't applying the shade as a contour or liner) and let it dry down. When it's half way dry, I like to fan the edges of the shadows with a stiff, domed brush. Once it's totally dry, I like to take a fluffy shadow brush and lightly brush over the cream, to give it a more natural finish.
You'll get a lip gloss from the Lab Shine collection that is a beautiful, neutral, shiny, pinky, peach gloss. This color looks great on everyone. To give it extra wear time, line your lips (filling them in) first with a pencil that matches your natural lip tone. Then top with gloss. Gorgeous!
You'll also get a mini-liner in Matte Black. I don't think I've ever tried a matte liner from MUFE, so I was a little surprised that this doesn't glide on the eye in the same way the other Aqua Liners I've tried do. I found that heating it up a tiny bit makes it glide easily on the lid, but not on the inner rim. While I don't think this is the easiest pencil to work with, I love the look of the matte black.
This kit also comes with two HD Microperfecting products- the Primer and the Microfinish Powder. Both of these are travel sizes, so know that you aren't getting full size products. However, it only takes a little of each, so both are a great way to learn more about the products. And somehow I've never used both of them together before and the results are, honestly, nothing short of magical. I don't have any pores. My skin looks flawless.
(Me wearing the collection. I really love how the primer and powder make my skin flawless all day!)
If you want to try MUFE or just pick up some of their best, this is the collection to try!
