L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift SmoothAbsolute

I have certainly spent a pretty penny on high end foundation, and sometimes it delivers. Lately, as my beauty budget has been strapped, I've been trying more and more drugstore foundations. And it's not really any big surprise that many of them deliver as well as their higher end brethren.

I was curious to try the new L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift SmoothAbsolute. This foundation contains a special formula, including Hydra-Collagen Complex. It leaves skin dewy and glowing, while plumping and hydrating. According to one website, it brushes away the years, with its fancy attached brush.

Alright. I'm not exactly sure that is the case. However, I can say that this formula delivers beautiful skin with medium coverage that lasts for close to a full work day. It's great for my dry skin, as it truly does boost hydration and help plump fine lines. However, if you have oilier skin, you might find this too hydrating. For me, it's a fantastic texture and feel.

What makes it a little different from other current foundations on drugstore shelves, besides the Hydra-Collagen Complex, is that it comes with a pro-grade brush designed to give you flawless coverage. Much to my surprise, it actually works really well to give your skin a beautiful, even, airbrushed look.
Pick this up for under $17 in any of the eight shades. Tried it already? Let me know what you think!

  1. I've read that the brush cannot be removed and is difficult to clean. Also, after a while, the mechanism can get clogged causing the application to be streaky. Is that true? I have dry skin and love dewy finish foundations. Please let me know. Thanks.

  8. It's available in eight shades. I would either click through where it says 8 shades or check it out in the drug store. IN the photo, I'm showing Nude Beige. Does that help at all?

  9. To NYCKIMBO, I washed the brush while attached. Although if you are the only one using this, I would wipe it down with a baby wipe after each use. However, if bacteria is really going to be an issue for you, this may not be for you. The brush itself does come off, but I'm not sure it's supposed to. When I pulled on mine, it came out, and I reattached it, but I'm not sure it's supposed to work that way. Mine still works fine, even after the dis-assembly. HTH.
