New from Make Up For Ever: Lab Shine Lip Gloss

Make Up For Ever just released 35 shiny new lip glosses, Lab Shine, on the shelves at Sephora. Created with three different formulas, all colors provide long-wearing shine, hyaluronic acid to hydrate your pucker and a non-sticky texture with a slight apricot scent.

The Diamond Collection gives lips a shimmery finish with colors that are on the natural, sheer side.

Most colors are on the pinky/purple, healthy flush side, along with a few beautiful peachy-tangerine tones.

There are twelve new colors in the Diamond Collection.

The Star Collection has fourteen shades that lend more color to your lips with a medium finish, but have a pearly shine.

These colors range slightly more, from light pink, to praline to violet and coral.

(Wearing s26, Electric Rose)

Some of the colors appear very bright in the wand, but are actually very wearable, flirty and perfect for Spring.

The Metal Collection consists of nine highly pigmented shades that offer full coverage with an intense, chrome finish.

I would suggest wearing a lip liner with these, as the color I tried tended to need a little support as it began to wear off. The Metal Collection come in colors like Onyx, Grey, Tobacco and Cherry.

(Wearing M10, Morello Cherry)

I love these colors to help get you through the next few months of cold weather. I dig the industrial-ness of the looks this particular collection can inspire.

After wearing these colors for a bit, I am happy to report they are not sticky at all and wear for a decent amount of time, as I have come to expect from Make Up For Ever. I barely noticed the apricot smell, which worried me a bit before trying them out. I definitely suggest testing a few of these on your next visit to Sephora or explore them at

  1. I have been seriously coveting the metal Tobacco since it first came out. Sounds like the formulation is pretty nice, looks like I just need to go for it! Thanks for the review.
